This game is a good sample for a fighting game, it is also partly isometric (the fighters can walk in front or behind other fighter and can jump as well).  There is also collision detection and some other features.  The game is still in progress.

Updated by Benjamin Marty on 3/31/2012 to work with SGDK 2.2.3.
